Gaston County native will be speaker at July’s GOP Executive Committee Meeting

The Gaston County Republican Party is proud to announce that the Speaker for our July 8th Executive Committee meeting will be Sarah Neunzig Curry, the Director of Fiscal Policy Studies at the John Locke Foundation. She will speak on the state budget and tax reform.
Sarah got her start working on campaigns in Gaston County, beginning with Congressman McHenry’s State House and Congressional Campaigns then serving as Senator Kathy Harrington’s campaign manager for her 2010 campaign.
She went on to work for the North Carolina State Senate as a research assistant for the chairs of the Senate Agriculture Committee and headed the research efforts for the Regulatory Reform Committee. She brings a wealth of experience from her work in the private banking sector as an investment counselor and retail banker along with managing and staffing both state and federal campaigns across North Carolina.
Sarah was born and raised in Dallas on her family’s farm. Receiving two athletic scholarships, she moved to South Louisiana where she received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Government from Nicholls State University. She then earned her International Masters of Business Administration with a Plus Certificate in Finance from Gardner-Webb University. She served as College Republicans Chair at both Universities and as State Secretary for the Louisiana Federation of College Republicans. She served an internship in Washington, D.C. with the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee where she worked with staff during the TARP negotiations.
She is a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient and lifetime Girl Scout member. Her hobbies include soccer officiating and being a Girl Scout leader. She resides in Apex, North Carolina with her husband.
