CALL TO PRECINCT MEETINGS & COUNTY CONVENTION

Saturday March 5th – 12:00pm

Registration closes promptly at 11:00am

Notice is hereby given that the Gaston County Republican Party will hold its 2016 Precinct Meetings and County Convention on Saturday, March 5, 2016. All registered Republicans are invited and encouraged to attend. Registration will begin at 10:00 AM and end promptly at 11:00 AM. You cannot register after 11:00 AM.  The registration fee is $10 payable in cash, check, or credit/debit card. A sandwich brunch catered by the Gaston County Republican Women will be available for $10 from 10:00 AM until noon as a fundraiser for the GCRW.

The meetings will be held at the Gaston County Human Services Department Auditorium, which is located at 330 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way (formerly N. Marietta St.). It is at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Way and Long Avenue, across from the Gaston County Courthouse.

Precinct meetings will start immediately at 11:00 AM. According to the NCGOP certification rules, you must attend your precinct meeting to become an eligible delegate to the County Convention. At the precinct meeting you will discuss plans for the upcoming election and get information from the Board of Elections. Precinct meetings are a critical part of the political process as we prepare for the 2016 election cycle and where you can get involved at the grassroots!

The County Convention will follow at 12:00pm. Our representatives will give reports and a great many candidates will be stopping in to meet the delegates. County Convention delegates will also become delegates for the 10th Congressional District (held April 16, 2016 at 12pm in Catawba County) and the NCGOP Convention (held May 5-8, 2016 in Greensboro).
